What is the price of a first class seat? On March 10th in Salt Lake City, it was just a correct answer to a trivia question. On that Saturday afternoon, as my wife and I were awaiting our flight home to Arizona, US Airways was giving away first class upgrades on our flight. Apparently not too many frequent fliers travel on Saturday afternoon!

The first trivia question: “Who are the only two members of the Baseball Hall of Fame who were not players, managers, umpires or executives?”

Do you know? Neither did anyone else.

Abbott & Costello!” declared the gate agent, “made famous by their “Who’s on first?” routine.

But you can’t always believe what you hear. This morning, as I was preparing this post, I learned that Abbott & Costello are not members of the Hall of Fame, despite frequent claims to the contrary.

But it makes for a good story. 🙂

Did US Airways give away their first class upgrades? They did, to a lady who knew at least 6 of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs. I didn’t know that answer either, but Claudia and I were already upgraded the old fashioned way – earning the privilege by flying so many darn miles with US Airways!
