What do you do if someone friend-requests you and you don’t want to respond?

Funny Comic. That is simple. I just don’t accept their friend request. I normally follow a process of checking them out and then make a determination based on my use case criteria. If I don’t want to connect or interact or share with them I just deny.

I would wonder what the motive behind the neighbor cat’s invite was, and would probably avoid eye contact when I got the newspaper in the morning.
