Zone Manager for OpenSolaris
Brad Diggs, a member of the Systems Engineering team I lead, recently completed the release of Zone Manager v1.8 as an official contribution to the OpenSolaris project. The purpose of the Zone Manager project is to greatly simplify zones creation and management for the Solaris 10 operating system.
My hat is off to Brad, who completed this innovative project as one of those “above and beyond” activities – because he saw a specific need, realized he could make a difference and put in the long hours to make it happen – both from a technical and legal compliance standpoint. I didn’t realize the hoops one had to jump through to officially contribute open source software!
Congratulations, Brad, for a job well done!

Thanks Mark! As Time magazine said it best, you (the contributors) are the ones to be thanked. Toward that end, I set up a Thank You page to recognize and thank the many direct and indirect contributions to the Zone Manager project.

Well said, Brad. I like the idea of a Thank You page. — Mark
